White Noise (2005 - Michael Keaton)
DVD
"Now I think I've seen it all. If you are of nervous disposition, don't watch this film - nonetheless, worth a watch but only the 'Ring' had me throwing a cloth over my TV at night after watching it!" 6/10
Contacting the dead through TV's is a far fetched idea but apparently, its something that people have tried to do. Jonathan (Keaton) has everything going for him, lovely kid, his wife (whom he is very in love with) who has just become pregnant and work life is fine. All of a sudden he is thrown into turmoil as his wife dies in a car accident. Through disturbing movements, Jonathan is tracked down by a specialist in EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomena)who says that he can speak to his wife. Strange events unfold as he plunges deeper and deeper into the realm of the supernatural - a synopsis that could send chills down the spine. It had the typical 'don't go there!, theres bad things!' rant at the TV but it didn't have me quaking in my boots the whole way through. One particular part at the end where there are three shadows in the background really got to me. If you are into horrors and thrillers, don't miss out on White Noise - but I'm quite sure that it will not make its way into your DVD collection anytime soon.
